NANS National President Usman Tijani Arrested

The National Association of Nigerian Students' president Usman Tijani was today arrested during a peaceful protest by Nigerian Students over the vagrant manner with which 13 VCs of Nigerian Universities were sacked by the Federal Government without following the set down procedure.

The students blocked the entrance of The Ministry of Education Complex, Abuja, until the police came and dispersed the group with tear gas. While arresting The NANS National President and a few others.

The Minister of Education while reacting to the incident started and I quote

''Nigeria has the right to hire and fire...''
